Customising text in Acrobat

The Touchup Text tool in Acrobat is useful for correcting a typo, but if you want to replace a block, it’s better to use the Tools > Comment and Markup > Text Box tool. Clicking it gives you a text cursor icon and clicking will give you a default text box outlined in red. Clicking out of the box, and then back on it will select the box itself and give modification handles. Right-clicking gives you a context menu where you can choose Properties to change things like the border type, colour and thickness, but not the typeface or type colour.

Typing in this box will give you red type in Helvetica, which may not be what you want. Right-clicking on selected text doesn’t help. You need to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-E.
